Q: Will you bring extra help for lifting?
A: My service and prices are based on the van and me, small/light items can obviously be handled by me with no problem. If items require two people to safely move/deliver then there must be someone at the address to help me remove/deliver the item.
Q: Can you deliver out of hours?
A: I will deliver at anytime you require day or night, a small extra charge will be added.
Q: Where are you Based?
A: My home base is Goldthorpe, which is situated on the A635 between Barnsley and Doncaster. I am within easy reach of Rotherham and Sheffield. I regularly deliver/collect around the UK.
Q: Are my goods safe?
A: I take great care of all items I carry, if an accident does happen I have full insurance for public liability and goods in transit.
Q: How do I pay?
I have setup various methods of payment so that you can choose the one which best suits you. Cash on delivery is fine for most jobs. You can also use your Visa or Mastercard to pay a deposit or the full cost on-line only. I also accept PayPal.
Q: What can the tail lift carry?
A: The maximum weight limit is 350kg so it's safe for usual household furniture.
Q: Can you deliver to France?
A: Sorry no, my insurance only covers the UK mainland.
Q: Will you move the item at either address?
A: Yes, I can move the item within the collection and delivery premises although conditions apply. All services include delivery to the ground floor and for most items I will provide a quote for delivery to the 1st floor. Normally additional charges apply for delivery to the 1st floor to cover my time. Collection/delivery beyond the first floor is sometimes possible and will depend on the item and circumstances but will be subject to additional cost. Please enquire.
Q: How much notice do you require?
A: Try
to give me as much notice as possible to ensure you secure your required day. Book early to avoid disappointment and get a time most convenient to you. A small deposit will be required to hold your day and time, which can be paid using Google Checkout on this site. However I am always willing to carry out emergency jobs and can be with you within a hour sometimes even less.
Q: Is there a minimum charge?
A: Yes £25 including VAT
