These terms and conditions are to avoid any miscommunication between Wilkinson's Light Haulage and its customers. Please read them through prior to placing your order, let me know if you have any questions.
1. Parking must be arranged and is the responsibility of the customer to get permits if required. Please make sure you take care of that, as any parking fines must be paid by the customer on completion of the job.
2. We do not deliver to the London LEZ area because of the large fee required to enter.
3. There is a minimum charge of £20 for goods going to the recycling centre, tip, waste centre.
4. Jobs running over the estimated completion time will be charged at half hour increments.
5. The price I quote
will include a generous loading and unloading time, if you require
additional waiting time on site I charge £20 per hour in half hour
increments. Please make sure that if moving house, your new home is vacant on the day of the move or that you have access to keep waiting (and cost) to a minimum.
6. My hourly and mileage charges & quotations (pre-priced tasks) are inclusive of VAT.
7. Payment must be paid via Paypal, Google-checkout prior to the job date or by cash immediately after the job is finished if agreed in advance.
8. A non-refundable deposit of 20% will be required to secure any removal date unless otherwise agreed with the representative at the time of booking. Deposits will be lost if the customer cancels the removal. However, if the customer has an alternative date the deposit can be forwarded to that date at the company's discretion.
9. Cancellations - A charge of 25% will be made if seven days notice is given. A 50% charge will be made if less than seven days.
10. My arrival times are estimated, and although I do my best to be on time, circumstances out of my control (heavy congestion) may cause slight delays.
11. I am not liable for the breakage, scratching, denting, chipping, staining and tearing of items packed by you including trunks, suitcases and the like unless reasonably attributable to physical damage to such items caused by collision or overturning of road vehicles or other conveyances.
12. I accept no responsibility for loss or damage to property after job is complete and payment is received.
Your Responsibilities (you need to)
You need to confirm to me that the goods being removed are your property or that you have the authority of the owner to enter into this contract in relation to the removal of the goods. Obtain at your own expense all permissions, licences, permits or documents required for the removal of the goods.
Be present, either personally, or through an authorised representative, during collection and delivery.
I will not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or additional expense that may occur as a result of your failure to fulfill these obligations unless by reason of my own negligence or breach of contract.

If the customer cancels within a 24 hour period of the agreed delivery or collection time the full fee will be charged.
